Description

The USAF Academy intends to award on a sole source basis a firm-fixed price order with the University of Massachusetts Lowell, Research Foundation, 600 Suffolk Street, Second Floor South, Lowell, Massachusetts 01854-3629 for Digsonde Portable Sounder – DPS-4. Authority is FAR 6.302-1(ii). The University of Massachusetts Lowell is the only source capable of fulfilling the government’s requirements by providing equipment that is compatible with the Air Force real time ionospheric monitoring network. While this notice is not a request for quote, responsible sources who feel they can offer fully compatible Digsonde Portable Sounder may respond to this notice. The compatible Digsonde Portable Sounder must include sounding electronics, computer for command and data handling, and antenna (two transmit and four receive). Transmitters should be relatively low power and the unit must be portable for field work. All the technical data to support your response must be provided for evaluation. Any responses are due NTL 12:00 noon Mountain Daylight Savings Time, 25 May 2004, at 10 MSG/LGCB, Operational Contracting Office, 8110 Industrial Drive, Suite 200, USAF Academy, CO 80840-2315.
