Description
AMENDMENT ONE (1): AMENDMENT TO CORRECT DUE DATE FOR RFQ-CAZ-04-062 TO BE MAY 25, 2004 BY 4:30PM (LOCAL TIME OF MOUNTAIN STANDARD). RFQ-CAZ-04-062, TRAVEL TRAILERS. Potential contractors please note the new requirement at (ix) that the successful offeror must be registered in the CENTRAL CONTRACTOR REGISTRATION (CCR) to be awarded a government contract. (i) This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the ONLY solicitation; offers are being requested and A WRITTEN SOLICITATION WILL NOT BE ISSUED. (ii) This solicitation is issued as a request for quotation (RFQ) and one award will be made on a fixed price basis to the offer that is the best value to the government. The governments estimated price range for this purchase is $25,000 to $100,000 (inclusive of five (5) travel trailers and delivery). (iii) This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 23, May 5, 2004. (iv) This is a total small business concern set aside under NAICS Code: 336214, Travel Trailer and Camper Manufacturing. The small business size standard for this NAICS Code is set at 500 employees or less. (v) BID ITEM ONE (1): Quantity five (5) each of travel trailers for field survey data collection, to include all delivery charges. (vi) Additional requirements BID ITEM ONE (1): These are minimum specifications and most of the requirements should come standard on most manufactured trailers. Any deviations to these specifications must be clearly marked as such on the offer. BEDS: Two (2) or three (3) beds total. First bed must be located in the front of the trailer and may be twin size or larger. Second and third bed, if applicable, must be located in the rear of the trailer and may be single size or larger. Second and third bed, if applicable, must accommodate a large sized adult comfortably. LENGTH: Maximum acceptable trailer length is 32 feet. EXTERIOR: Aluminum frame construction, two (2) seven gallon propane tanks securely mounted to the trailer, solar ready, six volt battery, R-18 insulation in roof, freeze resistant water lines, 30 to 50 gallon fresh water tank, 30 to 50 gallon gray water tank, 30 to 50 gallon black water tank, spare tire and carrier, stabilizer jacks on all corners, shock absorbers, foam board insulation, one-piece kanvex underbelly wrap or equivalent, heated underbelly if available, Reese 61009 hitch or equivalent. INTERIOR: No carpet in the interior of the trailers. ELECTRICAL: 40-amp service, air conditioner 135000 BTU ducted with heat strip or equivalent. GALLEY AND APPLIANCES: Microwave, stove, range hood with light and exhaust fan, refrigerator, 10-gallon water heater, 31000 BTU furnace or equivalent, fire extinguisher, smoke alarm, LP detector, television and VCR. BATH: ABS tub surround, medicine cabinet, flushing toilet. The Kit Road Ranger model 30 TTY (Y) or equivalent has been identified as an example of the desired requirements and layout of the trailers requested. DELIVERY: (vii) Required delivery date is June 25, 2004. FOB POINT: Rocky Mountain Research Station, Attn: Jim Sandall, 801-625-5396, 507 25th Street, Ogden UT 84401. Delivery charges must be included in the offered price. (viii) The provision at 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors-Commercial, applies to this acquisition. (ix) The provision at 52.212-2, Evaluation-Commercial Items is applicable to this acquisition. Additionally the following evaluation criteria will be considered during the contract award process: price, technical/product offering, ability to meet the required delivery date, and only offerors who are registered in CCR can be awarded a government contract. (xii) The clause at 52.212-5, Contract Terms and Conditions Required To Implement Statutes or Executive Orders-Commercial Items, applies to this acquisition. (xiii) The following Numbered Notes are applicable to this solicitation and the ensuring contract: 1 (one).
