Description
Department of Commerce(DOC)/National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA)/National Weather Service (NWS)/Automated Surface Observing System (ASOS) program is seeking a replacement Uninterruptable Power Supply (UPS) for the current obsolete Deltek Models D5141253-1861 and 05144037-0202. The Government Specification Control Drawing containing a complete technical description for this UPS is 62828-90338. A summary of the important salient characteristics of the existing UPS are: 1) Nominal dimensions are 9.3" H x 7.2"W x 17" L; 2) External batteries are used, nominal 48VDC, 17AH; 3) Total UPS weight exclusive of batteries is 45 lbs.; 4) UPS nominal input power is 104 to 127 VAC, 57 to 63 Hz, single phase power, 15 amp; 5) AC power provided via NEMA 5-15P or 5-20P power cord, AC output provided via NEMA 5-15R or 5-20R receptacle, battery input compatible with Anderson Power Products SB50A connector; 6) Output load power sustainable for a minimum of 10 minutes is nominal 1075 watts with ambient temperature in the range of 32 to 80 degrees F.; 7) MTBF nominally 100K hours; 8) RS-232 communication, via 9 pin sub-mini connector. Upon receipt of ASCII string ?UPDS<CR>?, UPS message response is in accordance with the Government Specification cited above; and 9) Environmental requirements in accordance with the Government specification cited above. The Government intends the replacement UPS to be fully compliant with the above-cited specification. This is not a solicitation for bid. All responsible sources are requested to identify their interest by submitting the following information for consideration: 1) name, telephone number and point of contact; and 2) a complete technical description of a proposed replacement UPS candidate not to exceed 5 pages. This will be an indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity (ID/IQ) type contract. The period of performance for this acquisition is 1 base year with four (4), 1-year options. The Government intends to procure approximately 50 replacement UPSs per year. The Government intends to procure up to 3 units for evaluation at NWS headquarters in Silver Spring, Maryland. The remaining production units will be delivered to the National Logistics Supply Center in Kansas City, MO. Please provide technical data to: Thomas D.
