Description

See Note #22. The Directorate of Contracting at Fort Polk, LA intends to award a sole source, firm-fixed priced (FFP) Requirements contract. The services sought include providing all services, materials, supplies, facilities, labor, vehicles, equip ment, tools, repair parts, management and supervision to perform all necessary inspection, maintenance and repair work in the housing areas at Fort Polk, LA. This housing area consists of approximately 3600 units. Further the contractor shall perform all work regardless of cause or source in strict accordance with the terms and conditions of the contract. Performance period needed is for 3 months beginning 1 July 04. The contract shall be negotiated in accordance with 10 U.S.C. 2304 (c) (1) as implement ed in FAR subpart 6.302-1, entitled, ??????Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements.?????? Services may be deemed to be available only from the original source in the case of follow-on contracts for th e continued provision of highly specialized services when it is likely that award to any other source would result in unacceptable delays in fulfilling the agency??????s requirements. This contract will be a bridge/interim contract to provide continuity o f services to allow phase-in of privatization of family housing IAW Residential Communities Initiative which will begin 01 Oct 2004. This project is unrestricted. The NAICS code for this procurement is 561210. FAR Part 12 procedures will be used for thi s procurement. Tentative quote number is subject to change.
