- Description
- Integrated Production Systems, Inc., Arlington, TX, is the engineering firm currently under Contract DAAE30-01-C-1094 with the US Army ARDEC to install the explosives formulation facility and support components in Building 810 at Picatinny, NJ. The US Army ARDEC has a requirement for installation services for installing additional explosive processing equipment in the 200 area at Picatinny, New Jersey. This follow on action is in support of the existing contract that provides cast cure explosive loading capabilities at Picatinny, New Jersey. The installation services include the installation of an existing explosive mixer and supporting ancillary equipment. Also, the procurement and installation of a vacuum pump, water chiller unit, hot water system, fume collection hood, a remote control system to control the equipment, a remote explosion proof camera/monitor/video recorder, the design, fabrication and installation of an explosive vacuum loading system and explosion proof wiring and piping to an existing hydrostatic drive unit. The contractor will be required to integrate the new systems and equipment into the existing operating explosive loading facility located in the 200 area. Utility connects and disconnects will be from existing primary shop sources. The contractor will be required to provide all necessary labor, parts, tools, test equipment and transportation as required for the completion of the services requested. This action requires the knowledge and experience to design and install explosion proof electrical components and systems to meet the requirements as required by operational standards in Safety Manual AMCR 385-100, Ammunition and Explosives Safety Standards DAPAM 385-64, Engineering and Drawing Practices MIL-STD-100, Drawings, Engineering, and Associated Lists MIL-DTL-31000, American National Standard Institute A165.3, and American Society of Mechanical Engineers Boiler Code. The contractor will be required to adhere to OSHA and Army Explosive Safety Regulations throughout the execution of the contact. Upon completion of the installation, the contractor will be required to test and debug all equipment and demonstrate that it meets or exceeds the operational standards in Safety Manual AMCR 385-100, Ammunition and Explosives Safety Standard DAPAM 385- 64, DAPAM 385-100, Federal Environmental Regulations, New Jersey State Environmental Regulations, and DAPAM 385-64. This action will be a sole source award to Integrated Production Systems, Inc. See Note 22
