- THE GOVERNMENT PRELIMINARILY INTENDS TO LIMIT THE COMPETITION BETWEEN IN-HOUSE PERFORMANCE AND THAT OF A JAVITS-WAGNER-O?DAY (JWOD) ACT ENTITY (SEE FAR SUBPARTS 8.0 AND 8.7). THEREFORE, NO SOLICITATION SHOULD BE ANTICIPATED. The Second Draft Performance Work Statement (PWS) includes a full range of services including but not limited to: dining facility management, cooking, food preparation, stocking, serving, replenishing, cleaning facilities equipment, cleaning utensils, preparing items for the salad bar, bussing tables, maintaining quality control, and ensuring operator maintenance and minor/major repair of food service equipment. The dining facility at Washington, DC consists of two dining halls. Historical information about the number and types of meals will be made available in the RFP. The contract shall include some special events. The solicitation will be issued in accordance with the policies and procedures in FAR Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items: and in conjunction with the policies and procedures found at FAR Part 15, Contracting by Negotiation. This action was originally posted under solicitation number A76-04-02. The contract type is anticipated to be firm-fixed price with a base year and four one-year options. The government is currently performing this work. The requirement is being conducted under the guidelines of OMB Circular A-76 for a standard competition. The projected end date of the competition is November 10, 2004. The phase-in plan is anticipated to begin on November 12, 2004.
