- Presolicitation Notice - - The Federal Bureau of Prisons, Field Acquisition Office, Grand Prairie, Texas, intends to issue IFB-40020-0063 for the project entitled Infrastructure Improvements at the Medical Center for Federal Prisoners (MCFP) located in Springfield, Missouri. The Contracting Officer anticipates awarding a firm-fixed price contract. The successful contractor will be required to provide new steam and condensate distribution throughout the existing facility to 11 buildings; install a sanitary sewer between two manholes; and provide various electrical upgrades. The magnitude of this project is between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000. The solicitation will be available on/about June 21, 2004 and will be distributed solely through the General Services Administration Federal Business Opportunities website at www.fedbizopps.gov. Hard copies of the solicitation will not be available. The website provides downloading instructions to obtain all documents relating to this solicitation. All future information concerning this acquisition, including the solicitation and any subsequent amendments, will be distributed solely through the website. Interested parties are responsible for monitoring the website to ensure they have the most current information about the acquisition. All contractors doing business with the Federal Government must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database. The website for registration is www.ccr.gov. The opening date/time for invitation for bids is on/about July 22, 2004 at 2:00 p.m. CDT, at MCFP Springfield. The NAICS is 238220 and the size standard is $12,000,000. This is a 100% small business set-aside. Faith-Based and Community-Based Organizations have the right to submit offers/bids equally with other organizations for contracts for which they are eligible. Numbered Note 1 applies.
