Description
This is a mission critical requirement that requires a 2-hour response time, to emergency service requests 24 hours a day, by 7 days a week. The contractor technicians shall be trained and experienced with the software and hardware they are servicing . The ESS is used by the Provost Marshal??????s Office to control access to secure areas within the hospital facilities with Proximity Badges issued to personnel, and to monitor alarm points throughout the complex. This requirement will be to provide on-g oing maintenance and support for the proximity readers, locks, REX devices, position switches, controllers, computer hardware and software, cabling, local network, and all other components of the ESS. Brooke Army Medical Center is comprised of a compound o f three facilities: the Hospital, ISR and Power Plant buildings. The central control for the Electronic Security System resides in the Provost Marshal??????s office that maintains central control of ESS. The ESS consists of an independent network of over 600 proximity door readers and control devices installed on doors throughout the hospital facility that controls access thru the doors. In addition the system provides a proprietary monitoring system via a graphical map of approx 300 secure points includin g approx. 110 duress buttons. The proximity readers and controllers are managed by the Controlled Electronic Management (CEM) Card Access System software residing on UNIX servers in a secure area. There are Windows based workstations in the Provost Marshal ??????s office area used to access CEM Access 2000. The contractor shall have the experience to provide unlimited manufacturer recommended maintenance, support, and upgrades for all available hardware, and software, to include upgrades to the CEM Access 20 00 application, Windows 98, ME, 2000 Professional, XP Pro, Crystal Reports, and SCO UNIX operating systems during the course of the contract. The requirement includes maintaining other applications or operating systems to include those brought on-line as a result of system upgrades, and shall be included in this scope of work at no additional cost to the government.
