- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for Research and Development effort for the Integrated Survivability Advanced Technology Demonstrator (IS-ATD). The IS-ATD project will investigate, design and test armor component technologies and armor pack aging, and provide lightweight, and ballistically-superior integrated structures. The IS-ATD will provide the analytical basis for understanding and predicting the effectiveness of various armor systems and examines the vehicle armor systems required to p rotect against collateral damage from debris Active Protection (AP) systems. A Letter RFP No. W56HZV-04-R-0680 was issued on a Sole Source basis to United Defense Limited Partnership (UDLP). This proposed effort is an expansion and continuation of work b eing performed under the basic contract DAAE07-00-C-L054. NOTE 22.
