Description

DESCRIPTION: This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial assorted steel materials to construct a Boardwalk prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quote being requested. Solicitation No. 20181-4-Q029 is issued as a Request for Quote (RFQ) and will be awarded as a Purchase Order using simplified acquisition procedures. This acquisition is 100% set-aside for small business. The NAICS Code number is 331111. The small business size is 1,000. The solicitation document, incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2004-23. BACKGROUND: The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, Trinity River National Wildlife Refuge, 11351 Main Street, Liberty, Texas 77575, requires assorted steel materials to construct a Boardwalk at the refuge. The solicitation is for steel materials ONLY for this project. GENERAL DESCRIPTION: Assorted steel materials as listed. Item 1. 600 linear feet, 8" X 40' wide flange beams 40# per foot; Item 2. 1,760 linear feet, stringers 3" X 40' Channel iron 5# per foot; Item 3. 1,280 linear feet, 10" X 40' Channel iron 15# per foot, Item 4. 360 linear feet, 8" X 40' Channel iron 11.5# per foot; Item 5. 720 linear feet, 5" X 3" X 40 angle iron 6.6# per foot; Item 6. 280 linear feet, 2" X 2" 20' angle 3.19# per foot; Item 7. 640 linear feet, 3' X 20' floor grating, galvanized serrated, 7.1# per sq. ft; Item 8. 220 linear feet, 2' X 20' floor grating, galvanized serrated, 7.1# per sq. ft; Item 9. 168 linear feet, Schedule 40 pipe, 4" X 21', 10.79# per foot; Item 10. 126 linear feet, Schedule 40 pipe, 3" X 21', 7.576# per foot; Item 11. 126 linear feet, Schedule 40 pipe, 2.5" X 21', 5.79 per foot; Item #12. 420 linear feet, Schedule 40 pipe, 2" X 21', 3.653# per foot; Item #13. 630 linear feet, Schedule 40 pipe, 1.5" X 21', 2.718 # per foot; Item 14. 200 linear feet, Flat bar 1/4" X 1" X 20', .850# per foot; Item 15. 200 linear feet, Flat bar 1/4" X 2" X 20', 1.7# per foot; Item 16. 20 linear feet, Square Hollow Structure tubing, 2" X 20', 5.41# per foot; Item 17. 20 linear feet, Square Hollow structure tubing, 2.5" X 20', 7.11# per foot; and Item 18. Delivery to Refuge Site 7 miles North of Liberty, Texas. Total price must include FOB Destination (delivered price), which will include off-loading of all materials being delivered to the Trinity River National Wildlife Refuge located at 11351 Main Street, Liberty, Texas 77575. Total price must also include all applicable taxes or fees. Note: POC to be contacted 24 hours prior to delivery. Any discounts should be listed on your quote. Delivery must be made on weekdays excluding federal holidays, between 8:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. local time. The provision at FAR 52.212-01, Instructions to Offerors-Commercial Items, 52.212-02, Evaluation Commercial Items, are applicable to this acquisition, FAR 52.212-03 Offeror Representations and Certifications - Commercial Items, the Clause at FAR 52.212-04, Contract Terms And Conditions-Commercial Items, and the Clause at FAR 52.212-05, Contract Terms and Conditions required to Implement Statues or Executive Orders-Commercial Items, 52.204-07 Central Contract Registration, 144802-038 Electronic Commerce Website, and R2-036 Questionnaire of Bidder's Responsibility apply to this acquisition. Evaluation of Commercial Items: the Government will award to the responsible offeror who conforms to the solicitation and is considered most advantageous to the Government, based on other considerations and price; FAR clauses can be accessed at the following websites: http://www.arnet.gov/far and http://www.doi.gov/pam/pamare. Vendors wishing to respond to this combined synopsis/RFQ should provide this office with the following: price quote less discounts with correct remittance address, and a completed copy of FAR Clause 52.212-03, Offeror Representations and Certifications-Commercial Items. The Offeror agrees to hold the prices in the offer firm for 30 calendar days from the date specified for the receipt of offers.
