Description
NAICS Code: 722320 The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (U.S. EPA) Office of Radiation and Indoor Air (ORIA) intends to award a sole source firm fixed-price Purchase Order using Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures to Fort Leavenworth, KS Morale Welfare and Recreation. The purpose of this acquisition is to provide meals for 84 attendees of ORIA's no-fault training exercise that will tests EPA's response to a radiological emergency, to be held July 26-30, 2004. Due to limited facilities available on post, none of which can provide catering services, Fort Leavenworth Morale Welfare and Recreation Services is the only known vendor uniquely qualified to satisfy the Government's requirement at a per diem rate. While facilities exist offsite, transportation costs would be incurred, and security procedures would require significant delay for ORIA attendees to reenter the post. In addition, no outside catering services currently have clearance to use Fort Leavenworth's facilities. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this procurement is 722320. NO SOLICITATION OR REQUEST FOR QUOTE (RFQ) IS AVAILABLE. Notwithstanding, any firm who believes it is capable of meeting EPA's requirement as stated herein may submit a response, which if received within 10 calendar days of the date of this announcement will be considered. Responses to this posting must be in writing. A determination not to compete the proposed requirement based upon the responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. All questions should be directed to Contract Specialist Jami Rodgers via e-mail at rodgers.jami@epa.gov.
