Description

The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) intends on issuing a Purchase Order, utilizing Simplified Acquisition/Commercial Items/Sole Source procedures to York International Corporation, Columbia, MD for the purpose of purchasing on-site preventive and remedial maintenance, to include provisioning of repair parts, for environmental equipment located at FEMA's Mt. Weather Emergency Operations Center, 19844 Blue Ridge Mountain Rd., Bluemont, VA (Loudoun County). The equipment consists of: 1 EA Government-owned York Chillers, Mdl #TM450N46B, Serial #'s 557 and 592 and 1 EA Government-owned McQuay Templifier Heat Recovery Chiller, Mdl #TEH079, Serial #5WB0102200, S.O. #976486-010. Equipment to be maintained according to the original manufacturer's maintenance schedules/specifications. Period of performance will be for a base period of 12 months plus 4 option years. Award of option years will be conditioned upon the availability of fiscal year funds for that particular option year. A Top Secret facility clearance along with Top Secret cleared maintenance personnel are required as a part of this project. NAICS Code: 811310, Small Business Size Standard: $6.0M. This notice is not a request for competitive proposals, however, any received responses must be in writing. Electronic response is preferred to: sandra.nixon@dhs.gov. If an electronic response is not possible, send to the address shown above, ATTN: Mrs. Sandi Nixon/Bldg. 413. The responses must be received no later than 06-11-2004, 3:00 PM, EST. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed requirement based upon responses to this notice and other underlying factors is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. The information should contain adequate supporting documentation to allow the Government to make a determination as to whether or not a proposed Contractor is capable of providing the required services. This notice also serves as a market research for possible small businesses who can provide the maintenance services.
