- Description
- Coeur dAlene River Ranger District, Shoshone County, Idaho. Work specified in the solicitation has two phases, with completion of Phase II (Rehab) being dependant upon completion of Phase I (Wood Collection). The scope of this project is to provide the necessary log material to complete watershed rehabilitation work and road closure in the Yellow Dog and Downey Creek drainages. Phase I harvesting and hauling trees with and without rootwads, gathering and piling slash and putting harvest area to bed. Phase II includes decommissioning roads; restoring stream channels at road crossings; installing gradient control structures, instream structures for pool formation and habitat enhancement; bridge and gabion removals; end hauling material to disposal sites; and seeding excavated areas. Vegetation transplants will occur in conjunction with road recontouring. Estimated price range between $250,000 and $500,000. Estimated start work July 15, 2004 with contract time of 130 calendar days.
