Description
The purpose of this amendment is to add another site visit and to address questions as follows: 1. A second site visit will take place 10 June 2004 at 0900 at 6500 B Street, Suite 101 Beale AFB, CA. Please send the names, no greater than three, of the personnel wishing to attend this site visit via e-mail to nikole.may@beale.af.mil. 2. Questions and Answers: a. Question: The SOW provided indicates in paragraph 2.1 that ?This includes location and replacement of end of line devices for those circuits with class B configuration.? While paragraph 4.8 implies that the system must be class A. To our knowledge, the existing system is not class A and to make it such would require virtually complete replacement of the existing system. If that is the intent, then there is not enough information (floor plans, building construction details etc.) to assess the cost involved. Answer: Paragraph 4.8 of the Statement of Work is now replaced with the following verbiage: ?Provide new addressable monitor and control modules to connect to the existing approximately 22 Class A initiating device circuits (IDCs), up to 24 Class B IDCs, up to 12 Class B notification appliance circuits (NACs), and up to 4 supervised air handler shutdown circuits. New modules to be installed in the existing Monaco enclosure.? b. Question: There is no mention in the SOW the ?new? portion of the system installed or being installed by another contractor. Since it is in the same building, it is unclear if there is any responsibility under this SOW for this part of the system. Answer: The contractor will be responsible for their own work to include programming and installation. c. Question: If the intent of the SOW is repair of the existing system in its current configuration, there is no way to assess the cost involved without a significant amount of technical data indicating the extent of the existing system including device types, locations and quantities, wiring configuration, conduit layout, air handler location and quantity, and other such details required to determine the cost involved. Answer: The purpose of the site visit is to gather information and assess system configuration details not provided in the Statement of Work.
