SOURCES SOUGHT SYNOPSIS This is a Sources Sought synopsis notice. This synopsis is in support of a market survey being conducted to determine qualified sources capable of providing the installation of Fire Suppression System, Building 140 at Peterson AFB, CO. If it is demonstrated that two or more small business concerns (i.e. 8a, HUBZone, and/or Disabled Veterans) have the capability to perform this requirement, procedures under FAR Part 19 utilizing the appropriate small business set-aside program may be initiated. THERE IS NO SOLICITATION AVAILABLE AT THIS TIME. REQUESTS FOR A SOLICITATION WILL NOT RECEIVE A RESPONSE. PROJECT: Install Fire Suppression System, Building 140, Peterson AFB, CO PROJECT SYNOPSIS: Building 140 is a 51,000 square foot aircraft maintenance hangar. This project is to install a fire suppression system in the maintenance hangar and a fire sprinkler system in the administration portions of the building 140. The hangar area will be fire protected with a high expansion foam suppression system. Office areas will be protected with a wet-pipe sprinkler system. Underground water storage tanks will be installed to provide an adequate quantity of water to the hangar sprinkler system. A pump house will be constructed with the storage tanks. A fire detection/notification system shall be installed throughout the building to meet Peterson Air Force Base standards. NOTE: This information is for market research only. This is not a Request for Proposal, or solicitation. The government will not pay for information received in response to this sources sought. Unless otherwise notified in writing by the submitter, the government will consider all information received in response to this request as non-proprietary. Any information received that the submitter asserts is proprietary shall be legibly and conspicuously marked with an appropriate legend. All responses are requested to indicate if they are 8(a) concern, HUBZone small business, or Disabled Veteran. Respondents capable of performing this effort are requested to submit an electronic copy of their capability to allan.castro@peterson.af.mil no later than 15 June 2004. Package should not exceed, 20, one-sided, 8.5 x 11 inch pages, and font no smaller than 10 point. Please provide your company?s name, address, telephone number, a point of contact with e-mail address, Federal Cage Code, Data Universal Numbering System (DUNS), Central Contractor Registration (CCR) number, business size, and intent to Prime or Sub on this effort must be included in the capability package. The North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) is 238220. Small business size standard is $12M. The technical capability package should include examples of efforts of approximately the same complexity, composition, functionality, and relevancy/experience within the last five years. Provide organization name, contract number, dollar magnitude, performance period, and point of contact with telephone number and/or e-mail address. This synopsis neither constitutes a Request for Proposal, nor does it restrict the Government to an ultimate acquisition approach. This Sources Sought should not be construed as a commitment by the Government for any purpose. Any information submitted by respondents to this synopsis is strictly voluntary and any offer submitted by such a firm will be evaluated without prejudice.
