- This is the fourth amendment to the combined synopsis/solicitation number FA5613-04-R-3010 for Contingency Cook Services. It revises the Approximate Shift Times for Ramstein Air Base, provides Government responses to clarification questions submitted by offerors, and extends the proposal submission date. APPROXIMATE SHIFT TIMES Ramstein Air Base Rheinland Inn Dining Facility: Morning Shift 0500-1400, Afternoon Shift 1000-1900, Evening Shift 1900-0400 Lindberg Hof Dining Facility: Morning Shift 0500-1400, Afternoon Shift 1000-1900, Weekend Shift (Morning 0600-1500), Weekend Shift (Afternoon 0930-1830) Jawbone Flight Kitchen: Morning Shift 0600-1500, Afternoon Shift 1600-0100 QUESTIONS AND RESPONSES: 1. QUESTION: Are the meals per day in Ramstein split between 3 DFACs? RESPONSE: The total numbers of meals listed are served at Lindberg Hof Dining Facility, Rheinland Inn Dining Facility and the Jawbone Flight Kitchen. 2. QUESTION: Are the meals in Spangdahlem split between 2 DFACs? RESPONSE: The total numbers of meals listed are served at the Mosel Halle Dining Facility and Jetblast (a Flight Kitchen/small Dining Facility). 3. QUESTION: The midnight meals in Ramstein are only served at Jawbone? RESPONSE: The meals are served at Rheinland Inn and Jawbone. 4. QUESTION: The midnight meals at Spangdahlem are only served at the Mosel Halle? RESPONSE: Correct. 5. QUESTION: The evening shift at Aviano is until 2000 hours. Who prepares the midnight meals? RESPONSE: The evening shift at Aviano should read 1700-0200. A correction was made to the Request for Proposal accordingly (with amendment 2). 6. QUESTION: Is the evening shift at Rheinland Inn correct: 1700-2000 hours? RESPONSE: The evening shift at Rheinland Inn should read 1900-0400. A correction was made to the Request for Proposal accordingly (with amendment 4). 7. QUESTION: The senior cook is furnished by the US Air Force? RESPONSE Correct. 8. QUESTION: Is there a senior cook for each shift? RESPONSE: Yes. 9. QUESTION: Is there a military shift leader for each shift? RESPONSE: Yes. 10. QUESTION: Are there additional military cooks? RESPONSE: Yes. 11. QUESTION: Are we expected to work the same shifts or should this be covered with an extended afternoon shift? RESPONSE: Shift time, although flexible, must be coordinated with the Dining Facility Manager. 12. QUESTION: Is the regular shift time 8 hours? RESPONSE: Yes. 13. QUESTION: Does each DFAC have a main line and snack line open every shift? RESPONSE: The main line is open every meal, the snack line is not open every meal. 14: QUESTION: If we serve on the snack line and on the main line and need personnel on each line, I have to know for what meals the snack line is open. RESPONSE: The snack lines are open during the lunch meals and evening meals. During the evening meals, a smaller selection of snack line items is served. All other requirements remain unchanged. THE PROPOSAL SUBMISSION DATE IS EXTENDED UNTIL 04 JUNE 2004, 16:30 hours local time. NO FURTHER QUESTIONS WILL BE ADDRESSED.
