Description
It is the intent of the Government to purchase one (1) Motorola MTR2000 100-Watt Narrowband Transmitter, Installation, and System Optimization, One Hundred (100) Apollo Alpha UHF Narrowband Pagers, One (1) Zetron Model 640 DAPT XTRA Paging Terminal #901-9229, One (1) Zetron Dual Serial Card #950-9469, One (1) Zetron Dual Input Card #950-0311, using open market procurement. All items listed above shall be from an authorized Motorola Dealer. The VA is in the midst of a transition from wideband equipment and frequencies to new, narrowband equipment and frequencies in the VHF (162-174 MHz) and UHF (406-420 MHz) bands. All radio and in-house paging systems in these bands must meet National Telecommunications and Information Administration (NTIA) specifications. Any existing equipment outside these approved frequencies must be replaced in compliance with NTIA narrowband specifications as outlined in The Procedures and Principles for the Assignment and Coordination of Frequencies. Request interested contractors schedule a job walk/site visit prior to request for quote response due date of June 17, 2004, please contact James Lent at (562) 826-5922. Contract shall be awarded following the guidelines outlined in FAR Part 12 and FAR Part 13. The applicable NAICS code is 443112 and the small business size standard is $7.5 million. This procurement is to purchase UHF Paging System for the Veterans Affairs Long Beach Healthcare System, located at 5901 E. 7th Street, Long Beach, California 90822. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement and submit a quote.
