Description

Contractor shall furnish all labor and materials for Project 568-04-203, Replace Deaerator Tank at the VA Black Hills Health care System, Hot Springs, SD all in strict accordance with contract specifications and drawings. Work includes replacement of the existing boiler feedwater deaerator and preheater and installation of a new condensate surge tank and transfer pumps in the boiler plant. Work includes piping connecting to the deaerator and surge tank, new controls for the existing deaerator, line voltage controls for deaerator and surge tank alarms, low water pump cutoffs and makeup water, electrical power for transfer pumps and pipe and equipment installation. Work shall be phased and temporary provisions shall be made to maintain satisfactory operation of boiler plant throughout the construction period. Existing deaerator tank is on an elevated platform and removal and replacement will require significant work, possibly including temporary structural platforms, removal and re-erection of the existing platform or similar work. Construction bidding documents will be available approximately June 14, 2004. There is a refundable $50.00 deposit required for bidding docuemtns. Check is to be made out to the attention of the "Agent Cashier". All requires for the bidding docuemtns are to be in writing addressed to the attention of: Contracting Officer, VA Black Hills Health Care System, 500 North 5th Street, Hot Springs, SD 57747. The construction estimate is between $25,000 and $100,000. Bid opening is scheduled for July 8, 2004 at 3:00pm local time. The applicable NAICS code is 235100, Plumbing, Heating and Air-Conditioning Contractors, This procurement is set aside for small businesses.
