Description

Sole Source. The United States Army Yuma Proving Ground (USAYPG), Yuma, Arizona, intends to negotiate a contract with Terrain Experts, Inc., 4400 East Broadway, Tucson, Arizona 85711 on an other than full and open competition basis. This requirement under solicitation number W9124R-04-T-0039 will fulfill the need for USAYPG to purchase Database Reuse Technology (DART) software to develop a rapid response terrain generation capability to support Modeling and Simulation requirement of the Virtual Provi ng Ground (VPG) and Future Combat Systems (FCS) programs. The DART proprietary software from Terrain Expert is required to be compatible (form, fit and function) with the other nine (9) Army agencies currently working on the VPG and FCS programs. The Geog raphical Information Systems (GIS) Manager, Yuma Test Center, Engineering Division, Yuma, AZ will utilize this DART software. Interested parties other than the above source may submit technical literature demonstrating their capability of meeting the Gove rnment??????s requirement. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely for the purpose of determining whether to c onduct a competitive procurement. See Note 22, with the exception of the time period for receipt of proposals for consideration is 10 days.
