Description

The work shall consist of services to provide hot dip galvanizing of 2,182 sets (top and bottom) of MHU-187 A/E loading and storage bomb pallets. Each pallet set weighs 200 pounds. Galvanizing shall be strictly in accordance with ASTM-123/123M sta ndard with special attention given to all stenciled areas on pallet to insure legible stenciling after galvanizing. First Article is required. Delivery of first 191 pallet sets is due November 3, 2004. Transportation of pallets will be provided within a 150 mile radius of the McAlester Army Ammunition Plant, OK. Estimated issue date of solicitation is June 9, 2004. Proposed contract is 100% small business set-aside (See Numbered Note 1). This solicitation will be issued electronically in accordance with far 4.502 and 5.102. Therefore, hardcopies will not be provided. Vendors wishing an electronic copy may download it on or after the issue date by accessing this website. CAUTION: This solicitation will be issued electronically as will any amendments thereto. Because of this, the government is under no obligation, and is in fact, unable to maintain a bidders mailing list. It is therefore incumbent upon any interested partie s to periodically access the solicitation via this website in order to obtain any amendments which may be issued. Failure to obtain any said amendments and to respond to them prior to the date and time set for receipt may render quote nonresponsive and res ult in the rejection of same.
