Description

The US Army Corps of Engineers, Portland District, intends to award a contract to perform excavation of channels and tidal marsh for habitat restoration at Crims Island, Columbia County, Oregon. Total Project: Excavation (2' depth) for tidal marsh of approximately 76 acres and excavation for channels (channel x-sections vary in size) covers approximately 16.5 acres. The solicitation and resulting contract will contain a base and optional work items. Contractor required to commence work within 10 day s of receipt of Notice to Proceed and complete the entire work not later than 75 days after receipt of Notice to Proceed for the base item and a total (to be negotiated) of not more than 365 calendar days for option items if exercised (time stated for comp letion includes final cleanup of premises). Estimated cost range is between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000. Invitation for Bid (IFB W9127N-04-B-0008) will be available on or about 16 Jun 2004. Tentative bid opening is on or about 15 Jul 2004 or 30 days after issue. This procurement is open to both small and large business concerns.
