Description

This is a notice of intent to award a sole source purchase order to ChicagoLand Cabling Solutions, Inc. to provide all labor and material to PULL FIBER BETWEEN BUILDING 37 (HINES OIFO) AND BUILDING 215 (HINES VBA - 1.CONTRACTOR WILL PULL, TERMINATE AND TEST 1-24 STRAND SINGLE MODE AND 1-24 STRAND MULTI MODE FIBER OPTICAL CABLE FROM THE NORTH CLSET IN BUILDING 37 (HINES OIFO) TO BUILDING 215 (HINES VBA) 2.CONTRACTOR WILL EXTEND THE 24 STRAND SINGLE MODE FIBER OPTIC CABLE FROM THE NORTH CLOSET IN BUILDING 37 (HINES OIFO) TO THE COMPUTER ROOM IN BUILDING 37 (HINES OIFO) 3.ALL FIBERS WILL BE TERMINATED WITH SC STYLE ENCLOSURES 4.CONTRACTOR WILL SUPPLY (12) SINGLE MODE 3' SC TO SC DUPLEX FIBER JUMPERS. 5. ALL FIBER STRANDS WILL BE CERTIFIED WITH A HARD COPY OF TEST RESULTS BEING SUPPLIED TO CUSTOMER UPON COMPLETION OF PROJECT. Based on the vendor's prior experience and familiarity with the cabling on the Hines complex, VA believes that Chicagoland Cabling Siolutions, Inc. is the only vendor with the specialized knowledge and expertise necessary to provide the quality of services required. The anticipated award date is June 8, 2004. This request is not a request for quotations. All response from responsible souces will be considered. Response must include sufficient documentation ot allow this office to evaluate the possiblity of your firm to submit a valid proposal. The determination to open competition based on responses received is solely within the discretion of VA. If a solicitation is issued, no additional synopses will be published. All responses must be submited in writting within 3 calendar days of publication of this notice NOTE: THIS NOTICE WAS NOT POSTED TO WWW.FEDBIZOPPS.GOV ON THE DATE INDICATED IN THE NOTICE ITSELF (03-JUN-2004); HOWEVER, IT DID APPEAR IN THE FEDBIZOPPS FTP FEED ON THIS DATE.
