- 8. DESCRIPTION: The Fleet & Industrial Supply Center, Puget Sound is soliciting for a labor hour service contract to be negotiated on an 100% small business set aside for performance of required functions necessary to disassemble, repair, assemble, perform corrosion control and preservation on AN/USM 467 Radio Communications Test Station (RADCOM) and associated AN/ALQ-99 components/material workload undergoing Intermediate Level Maintenance, modernization, conversion, disassembly and other categories of maintenance. Includes removal and replacement or repair of various components as directed. The contractor shall provide a field team who will be responsible for providing skilled artisans to perform the assigned tasking as provided by AIMD Whidbey Island and production control in support of AIMD Whidbey Island AN/USM 467 RADCOM assigned workload supporting the EA-6B aircraft. Period of performance will extend from the date of award to 30 September 2004 with 2 option years. This solicitation will be issued on or about 18 June 2004 with a closing date of 12 July 2004. The acquisition will be made in accordance with FAR Part 15; utilizing best value evaluation method. The Government anticipates award of a single contract. Prospective offerors not CCR-registered should immediately begin the registration process. The solicitation will be posted to the NECO web site: www.neco.navy.mil under “Business Opportunities” under solicitation number “N00406-04-R-5092”. The Government will NOT distribute hard-copy solicitations or amendments. The Government will not mail, fax, or e-mail the solicitation or any amendments thereto. Subsequent amendments, if any, will be transmitted solely via the NECO web site. Prospective offerors are responsible for checking the NECO web site early and periodically for any solicitation amendments. Prospective offerors should not expect notification that an amendment has been issued. The NECO web site is occasionally inaccessible due to maintenance. The Government is not responsible for any loss of Internet connectivity or for an offeror’s inability to access the document posted on the referenced web site.
