Description

The Office of Advocacy underwrites and supports database development, production of special tabulations, and research using large databases, in order to improve understanding of small business formation, growth, and survival and major policy issues affecting the survival and growth of small firms. We would like to encourage small business researchers to develop their expertise and interests in some of these databases as well as to share with us any databases that they have developed. The Office of Advocacy seeks projects that use comprehensive existing databases to add to the state of knowledge about the state of small firms as well as major issues facing small firms. For an abbreviated list of some data sources for small businesses, see Advocacy’s Academic Frequently Asked Questions (insert URL here). In addition, research proposals will also be considered that incorporate non-survey methods of obtaining or enhancing public or proprietary data. Depending on technical merit, policy relevance and costs, the Office may award more than one contract in this topic area. NOTE: The Solicitation document will be posted on FEDBIZOPS June 8, 2004. No other documents will be issued. Provide four (4) copies of your price and technical data. The duration of this project will be 12 months from the date of award .
