Description

CONTRACT SUMMARY Restore and enhance habitat of a wetland restoration program site in Dodge County, Wisconsin in accordance with plans and specifications. Install Silt Fencing prior to starting construction. Remove trees and shrubs from section 15+10 ? 18+60 of ditch 1N and stock pile on North side of ditch. Stock piled trees will be disposed (burned) by landowner (WI DNR) at a later date. Perform excavations as detailed on Plans and use spoil material to construct ditch plug and fill ditches as detailed on Plans. The work will involve: Silt fence installation at five locations (total of 250 linear ft.); Approximately 11380 CY of excavation; Transporting and placing 11380 CY of (spoil) earth fill; transport distance of fill material will vary from 100 -250 ft.; Tree/brush removal and stock pile from 300 ft. length of ditch. Performance time (including mobilization, adverse weather days and earthwork) will be 10 days. Interested parties are invited to attend a site showing on Tuesday, June 30, 2004. The site showing will begin at 10AM in the NRCS meeting room, USDA Service Center, 451 West North Street, Juneau, WI. For directions, call that location at 920-386-9999 (NRCS). After a brief meeting concerning the bidding process and contract requirements, the group will leave for a tour of the work site. All information required to submit a proposal for this project will be posted on www.fedbizopps.gov.
