Description

Solicitation I6115040012, Invitation For Bids (IFB) for relocation of vehicle entrance road at Tallgrass Prairie National Preserve in Kansas was advertised on March 25, 2004, issued on April 14, 2004 and was cancelled after bid opening. Submitting solicitation I6115040027 issued as an IFB for rebidding on relocation of vehicle entrance road at Tallgrass Prairie National Preserve in Kansas. The IFB with attachments will be issued electronically on the website http://ideasec.nbc.gov on or about June 8, 2004. Prospective offerors must register at this website to download the solicitation. Line Item 1. Base Bid. Demolition of existing asphalt entrance road at Tallgrass Prairie National Preserve. Stripping of topsoil for new roads and parking areas, removal of fencing, culverts, gates, kiosk. New construction of entrance road, circular drive road, RV/bus and vehicle parking lots, relocation of after-hours kiosk, installation of new gates and fencing, installation of culverts, site grading and seeding. Line Items 2, 3, and 4 are additives in priority sequence pending funding availability. Line Item 2, Additive #1. Install directional signage (7) and posts. Line Item 3, Additive #2. Relocation of park entry sign. Line Item 4, Additive #3. Installation of concrete wheel stops. Estimated cost range: $25,000-$100,000. NAICS Code 237310. This is a "full and open" competition award which will be made in accordance with Public Law 100-565, Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program. This project is subject to the Davis-Bacon Act. Prospective offerors must register on Central Contractor System (CCR) website http://www.ccr.gov in order to receive contracts from federal agencies. No hard copies of the IFB and attachments will be mailed or issued. Two pre-bid site visits will conducted at Tallgrass Prairie National Preserve on June 16, 2004, 2:00 p.m. and June 18, 2004, 9:00 a.m. Call Robert King at 620-273-6034 for any questions.
