- Description
- The Naval Sea Systems Command intends to award a contract on a sole source basis to SAP Public Services, Inc., Washington, DC for Installation and Implementation Technical Support Services to the Navy in connection with the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Convergence Program Management Office on industry ?Best Practices? in the use and implementation of SAP software. Activities for this contract will include preparing briefings, providing guidance on technical and functional aspects of SAP, identifying any potential risk(s) to the Program and recommending plan(s) for risk mitigation, providing evaluation(s) on how SAP is designed, developed, and configured to meet Navy business requirements and associated processes, documentation development, schedule development and training. It is anticipated that a Cost-Type and Firm Fixed Price performance based contract will result fr om a request for proposal (RFP). The place of performance is expected to be at the SAP facility, Washington D.C, and the Navy Enterprise Resource Planning Program Offices in Rosslyn, VA and Annapolis, MD. The contract will be for a base period of 1 year and 2 one-year options. Issuance of the RFP is anticipated in 3rd Quarter of GFY 04, with an award planned in 4th Quarter of GFY 04. This is a continuation of services provided under a GSA contract for the Navy ERP Program Management Office. SAP, as the OEM, is the one source, which can provide the necessary highest level of expertise on their software products. See Note 22.
