Description
The following amendment changes the schedule of work to July 21, 22, 23, 2004. The Generator to be moved on July 23rd to the concrete pad. Then the contractor will allow the USCG Electricians to mark the pad for anchor locations. The contractor to lift the generator off and allow the USCG Electricians to set the anchors on the pad. Finally, the Contractor to set the Generator ont he pad. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for construction prepared in accordancce with the format FAR Part 36. Quotes are being requested. The incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through the Deferal Acquisition Circular. The applicable NAICS number is 237990 and the small business size standard is $28.5M. This is a Small Business Set-Aside. The contract will be awarded based on ability to schedule work within the June 19-21st time frame and complete within 3 days. The project location is the U.S. Coast Guard Station, Depoe Bay, Oregon. The requirement is Sawcut existing asphalt pavement approximately 250 ft in length by 2 ft wide, excavate a trench to a depth and width required by the local jurisdiction to be 42" deep and 2 feet wide, that would place 2 each 2-1/2 PVC schedule 80 conduit at 36 inches measured from the top of the conduit to the top edge of the trench opening. The U.S. Coast Guard electrician will lay the electrical conduits and 3 Christy Boxes. Contractor will backfill with 100% crushed rock in areas of asphalt pavement. Contractor to shade electrical conduits in non pavement areas with crushed rocks and complete backfill with native material. At 1 foot of backfill above the conduits, contractor will lay a caution tape as required, the contractor will then continue to compact the backfill per local jurisdiction requirements, furnish and place asphalt pavement to match local jurisdiction, seal pavement cut areas. Dispose of excess excavated materials at an off site location, repair any dmage to any existing underground utilities and markers. Contractor is also to supply a crane and operator to relocate a stand-by generator weighing approximately 10,000 lbs. from its current location to a concrete pad to approximate distance of 150 feet.
