Description
(I) This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.603, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. (II) Solicitation FA4877-04-Q0313 is being issued as a request for quote (RFQ). Submit written offers, oral offers will not be accepted. Please include specifications and pictures/graphs with your quotes.(III) This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2001-22 (IV) This procurement is being issued as 100% SMALL BUSINESS SET-ASIDE. North American Industrial Classification Standard 332312, Size Standard NAICS), 500 employees, applies to this procurement. (V) Commercial Item Description: Qty- 1 each UH-60 Maintenance Platform, FWD/AFT, Expoxy powder coat the color of OD Green. (VI) This platform will be used for a pavehawk. The forward platform shall have three levels and consist of no less than five sections. The top level shall extend just above the cabin (bridge platform). The second level will run from the forward section of the cabin down both sides, ending just forward of the engine exhaust fairings. The third level will run from the forward section of the engine exhaust to just aft of the engine exhaust. The platforms sections (except for the bridge) shall be made to allow for any portion of the platform to be installed and used indepentently. The forward platform shall have an entry/exit installed at the front and rear of both sides of the platform. The installed platform shall not interfere with the rigging of flight controls, removal of the air inlet assemblies, opening of the engine cowlings and rotation of the rotor blades during full movement of the flight controls. The upper platform shall be required to have a telescopically-lowered tubing hand rail. The aft platform shall be installed around three sides (left, right, and aft) of the vertical tail pylon and consist of no less than four sections. The height of the platform shall enable full operation of the stabilator and not interfere with the rotation of the tail rotor during all flight control movements and removal and replacement operations. The forward platform and aft shall be constructed with sufficient strength to allow twenty personnel to stand and view the operation of the hydraulic and flight controls and accomplishment of various maintenance activities. The platform and aft shall be fabricated into a light weight aluminum frame scaffold. Both shall be constructed with an end to end bolt together feature to allow rigid bridging applications. All extruded shapes shall be made from aluminum alloy. All casters/wheels shall be eight inches in diameter and have swivel locks to prevent from shifting on the platforms sections after assembly. Ladder sections shall have at least two swivel-type casters. Leveling of individual sections of the platform shall be provided by jack screws or other suitable means (leveling means must be between casters and the scaffolding; plus 6 inches minus 6 inches from the norm. Platforms shall be designed and fabricated to be easily moved, stored, and manipulated by a maximum of two persons. No other special requirements needed. Quote is to include shipping.
