Description
The Government anticipates the acquisition of one (1) each Sentinel Enhanced Target, Range and Classification (ETRAC) Virtual Maintenance Trainer (SEVMT) Development and one (1) each Sentinel Training System (STS) ETRAC Upgrade to support the Sentine l Radar System on a sole source basis from Thales Raytheon Systems (TRS) Company. TRS the designer/developer of the Sentinel ETRAC Radar System, has proprietary rights in the Sentinel ETRAC radar technical data and is the only qualified provider of the SEV MT development and the upgrade of the STS for that system. The SEVMT, a computer based training (CBT), interactive multimedia instruction (IMI) device, will be developed in such a manner as to make it representative of the ETRAC Sentinel configuration and will be used by the Ordnance Munitions and Electronics Maintenance School (OMEMS) at Fort Sill, Oklahoma to train Sentinel maintainers in troubleshooting and diagnostics of the Sentinel ETRAC radar. The STS ETRAC Upgrade, located at Fort Bliss, Texas, wi ll be modified to a dual configuration. It will allow the device to train both the Basic Sentinel system and the ETRAC Sentinel system without adversely impacting the existing courseware. Additionally, the STS will be modified so that those switch functi ons that are associated with the ETRAC radar and are required to support training are fully integrated into the software and courseware. The Government does not own the TDP or the software documentation needed for competition of this requirement. All interested sources may submit their responses/concerns to Mrs. Jackie Westmoreland (256) 876-7471, Contract Specialist; or Ms. Debra K. Long (256) 876-4153, Contracting Officer. (See Note 2)
