Description

The United States Coast Guard, Civil Engineering Unit Juneau intends to award a sole source purchase order contract to Campbell Company, Inc. (CCI), of Seattle, Washington for the commercial item acquisition of Liebert Advanced Microprocessor upgrade kit for four (4) Liebert AC units and providing and installing an external AC3 auto changeover control unit for each pair of AC units under FAR Part 13.106(b)(1). The vendor must be capable of providing the Liebert specific parts and equipment, shipping, installation, testing, maintaining a compliment of spare parts, and trained maintenance personnel capable of taking immediate corrective action if the system should fail for a period of one year. The reasons necessitating procurement of these particular brand name items are to ensure compatibility with the existing Liebert AC Systems and ensure ease of maintenance, and to maintain uniformity of spare parts inventory, training, operation and maintenance manuals. These upgrade kits and changeover control unit must be fully compatible, including components and/or software, with the existing Liebert AC systems. The AC systems are located at the U. S. Coast Guard Loran Station, Shoal Cove, Alaska. The anticipated award date is July 9, 2004. This notice is neither a request for proposals nor a solicitation of offers. A determination not to compete this proposed procurement based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
