- Description
- The Defense Supply Center Philadelphia (DSCP) intends to enter into a Strategic Supplier Alliance (SSA) with Alcoa Global Fasteners. In conjunction with this effort a solicitation will be issued for Alcoa part numbered items which will result in the awarding of a Long Term Contract vehicle. The solicitation will encompass approximately 767 core DSCP managed NSNs initially, however; up to 1400 additional DSCP NSNs may be added pending the completion of internal reviews of those items and items managed by DSCC and DSCR may also be added. Accordingly, an Add and Delete clause will be included in the solicitation. The major FSCs that will be covered within the solicitation will be 5305, 5306, 5307, 5310, 5320, 5325, 5330, 5340, and 5360. The solicitation will be issued on an unrestricted basis using Other Than Full and Open Competition I/A/W 10 USC 2304 (c)( 1). The solicitation will include an option to extend the contract period one time at the discretion of the Government. The anticipated total duration (base + option years) of the contract is expected to be 5 years. It is anticipated that the solicitation will be issued on or about 29 June 2004 with an expected closing date of 15 July 2004.
