Description

The Lake Alipine Access Project is located at Lake Alpine on the Stanislaus NF. The solicitation will contain a Base Bid with 5 optional additives. The base contract consists of the following: All new path construction shall be built to accessible standards. Const. staking and clearing is required in new construction of 640 ft of 6 ft. wide paved asphalt concrete path. Paths shall be 4" thick aggregate base with 2" thick asphalt concrete w/dirt shoulders. Approx. 200 cubic yds of borrow material will be needed from borrow source for cons. of embankment for path. The const. of a 45' 6" long trail bridge (Trail Bridge #4) in this segment of trail w/ 14 cubic yds of structural excavation, 16 cubic yds of structural concrete, 1200 pounds of reinforcing steel, and prefabricated bridge structure that includes 45' prefab approach rail. The bridge has 25 sq. yds geocomposite sheet. Gov't Estimate Range: $250,000 - $500,000. Est. Start: Aug 2004. A Pre-Bid Mtg: to be announced in solicitation. Recommended Contract Time: 120 days. Project: from Sonora,CA go from Hwy 108/Hwy 49 2.2 mi on Hwy 49 to Parrots Ferry Rd turnoff. Go 12.2 mi on Parrotts Ferry Rd to Hwy 4. Turn Right and go 10.8 mi. on Hwy 4 to Hathway Pines, CA. Go NE 33.3 mi. to the Lake Alpine Recreation Area. The trail projects are located in Lake Alpine Camp Ground and Pine Martin Camp Ground.
