- Commander Navy Region Northeast Procurement Center in Groton CT has been tasked by a regional customer to request information only, no formal price proposals or bids, from all vendors with facilities in either ME, NH, VT, MA, RI, CT, NY or NJ who are currently providing linen service to the commercial marketplace. CNRNE requests information on the feasibility of providing a linen inventory and twice weekly pickup & delivery service to the Navy Combined Bachelor Quarters facilities located at NAS Brunswick ME, NSY Portsmouth NH, NAVSTA Newport RI and NSB Groton CT. The linen required for all locations is hotel-grade bath, hand & face towels, bath mats, twin/full/queen bed liners and fitted sheets, pillow cases, cloth & wool blankets, and cotton/polyester bedspreads. Estimated annual poundage by location is 254K NH, 253K ME, 430K RI, 97K CT. Minimum acceptable pickup/delivery s chedule for each location is twice Monday through Friday. NISH is currently providing standard laundry service of USN-owned inventory. Prior to considering future options be exercised, customer is requesting interested linen service vendors to contact Thomas J. Ott CNRNE Groton N41PA 860-694-4821 with information on the feasibility of replacing the existing laundry service with a linen inventory & service. If feasible, the customer would consider an annual contract requirement with multiple option provisions for successive annual or semi-annual periods not to exceed five consecutive years.
