Description
The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), Western Administrative Support Center (WASC), Acquisition Management Division, is requesting sealed bids for the construction of a specimen storage facility for the National Marine Fisheries Service's (NMFS), Alaska Fisheries Science Center?s Auke Bay Laboratory, in Juneau, Alaska. The work will consist of constructing an approximate 2800 sf specimen sample storage prefabricated structural steel building with factory-formed and field-assembled metal roof and wall panels, state of the art mechanical systems, ventilation systems, fire prevention and fire suppression systems, as well as built in spill prevention and spill containment measures. This procurement is a 100% Small Business Set Aside. The North American Industry Classification Code (NAICS) is 236220 and the small business size standard is $28.5 Million. A presolicitation notice is being issued concurrently with this synopsis. Estimated construction cost is between $500 and $1 Million. All contractors doing business with the Government are now required to be registered with the Central Contractor Registry (CCR). In order to register with the CCR and to be eligible to receive an award, all offerors must have a Dunn & Bradstreet Number. Request for Proposals (RFP) solicitation documents will be available on or about July 1, 2004, to download through the Government's website at http://www.fedbizopps.gov/. No paper copies will be issued. Interested parties must complete the FedBizOpps? [REGISTER TO RECEIVE NOTIFICATION] and [REGISTER AS AN INTERESTED VENDOR] feature which provides notification when the RFP becomes available for download along with notification of any postings associated with the solicitation. Each potential bidder is responsible for checking this website to gain all the current information available. Any further announcements regarding this solicitation will be posted at http://www.fedbizopps.gov/. All responsible, responsive sources may submit a bid which will be considered by the Agency.
