Description
Wackenhut Services Incorporated (WSI) operates the National Training Center (NTC) under prime contract to the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE). The U.S. Department of State, Bureau of Diplomatic Security Services, Office of Anti-Terrorism Assistance and the U.S. Department of Energy, National Training Center have entered into Interagency Agreement (IAA) # DS/ATA-DOE/NNSI 99-01, to operate the Anti-Terrorism Assistance Program (ATAP). Incorporating realism is an integral component of ATAP scenario training. To achieve realistic training environments, situations will be staged and role players must be utilized in various positions enabling specific response objectives to be demonstrated and/or practiced by the students. When real or simulated techniques are unable to provide the appropriate consequence to the scenario, a WSI exercise controller is responsible for administratively (verbally) injecting the consequence and/or direction needed to complete the desired objective(s). Level 1 Role Player--assist in the classes by interacting with delegates. No simunitions or other firearms experience or specialized background is needed. Level 1 role players should have the ability to follow verbal instructions and stay in character for several hours at a time. Level 2 Role Player--extensive background in investigative techniques or simunitions training. Level 2 role players must have a basic understanding of firearm safety and/or law enforcement concepts, must have the ability to follow verbal and written instructions, have ability to perform physical activity such as: fighting, simulations, running short distances. Interested parties should send a 1 or 2 page capability statement to David Spiess at dspiess@nnsi.doe.gov. RFP's will be issued to parties whose capability statements indicate an understanding of role player requirements. Capabilty statements must be received no later than 2:00pm (MDT) Wednesday June 23, 2004. Any questions regarding this sources sought notice must be in writing and submitted to David Spiess at dspiess@nnsi.doe.gov or can be faxed to (505) 845-6491. No verbal questions will be answered.
