Description
The National Institutes of Health (NIH), National Institute of Diabetes and Digestive and Kidney Diseases (NIDDK) have a requirement to purchase an AKTAPurifier 10, FRAC 950, and PV-908 25 MPA. The following accessories and specifications shall be included in the system: AKTAPurifier 10- AKTAPurifier systems are designed for high performance purification and characterization of proteins, peptide and nucleic acids. They can perform routine procedures of any complexity with scouting and method optimization, and with biomolecule characterization such as peptide mapping. The systems perform all chromatographic techniques and scout for optimal binding and elution conditions, ph gradient shapes and flow rates. Within the UNICORN? operating software a method wizard minimizes preparation, run-time and repetitive tasks while retaining flexibility for easy manual operation. UNICORN? is fully compliant with the FDA?s requirements under 21 CFR Part 11 Electronic Signatures and Records. AKTApurifier 10 is a complete chromatograph system with flow rates of 0.001 to 10 ml/min at pressures up to 25 MPa. The pressure and flow rate specifications make the system ideal for laboratory purification and high-resolution analysis. Each system includes: -Model P-903 system pump with four pump heads in two pump modules -Model M-925 mixer for precision gradient formation -Model UV-900 variable, multiwavelength UV-Vis detector, 190-700nm, 10mm path -Model pH/C-900 pH and conductivity detector -Two Model SV-903 buffer switching valves -One INV-907 injection valve -One PV-908 sample outlet valve for sample collection (8 port) -Unicorn software package System includes installation and AKTA/UNICORN? training. FRAC 950- FRAC-950 Fraction Collector is an automated fraction collector for use with AKTAdesign chromatography systems. It is fully controlled from Unicorn (v.3.2 or later) software. Fractionation can be done in time, volume or peak fractionation. The nozzle capillary delivering the fluent is fixed. The rack holding the collection vessels is moved by rotating plate and arm to position to vessels under the tip for collection. The moving pattern can be selected to collect row to row, column to column, row serpentine or column serpentine. One rack Type A (120X16MM tubes or 8X30MM tubes) is included with the fraction collector. PV-908 25MPA Interested vendors may identify in writing their interest with a capability statement to the Contracting Officer prior to the closing date of this notice. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals, however, all responses received before the closing date of this announcement will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed acquisition is based upon responses to this notice and is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. It is anticipated that Request for Quotation (RFQ) NIH-NIDDK-04-218 will be available fifteen (15) days after the publication date of this synopsis. Receipt of quotations will be due ten (10) days after the release of the RFQ. The anticipated award date is July 14, 2004. Request for copies of the RFQ must be in writing and may be FAXED to 301-480-8261. Quotations must be submitted in writing to the National Institute of Diabetes and Digestive and Kidney Diseases 6707 Democracy Blvd., Room 773, Bethesda, Maryland 20817 Attention: Diana Ly.
