Description

THIS SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE IS FOR INFORMATION ONLY. A pre-solicitation will be published before invitations are issued. The purpose of this notice is to identify HUBZone concerns that are both certified by the Small Business Administration and classified under the NIACS code listed for this procurement. Based upon the response to this notice the government will determine if adequate competition exists to set this procurement aside for HUBZone concerns. Interested, qualified HUBZONE concerns must submit to this office NLT close of business 28 June 2004, ATTN Barry Leaver via, fax (601) 679-2143 or email leavercb@efdsouth.navfac.navy.mil the following: 1) A statement that your firm is interested in the project listed below. 2) A copy of the HUBZONE CERTIFICATION LETTER issued to your firm by the Small Business Administration. 3) Indicate that you are certified under the NAICS code listed below. DESCRIPTION OF THE PROPOSED WORK: Furnish all labor, transportation, materials, equipment, tools, supplies, and supervision necessary to provide repairs to various roofing systems as well as complete replacement of various roof systems and incidental related work. The proposed contract will be an indefinite delivery (IDQ) type contract with a base year and 4 possible one year options. The work shall be located at the Naval Air Station, Meridian (located in Lauderdale County Mississippi) or the outlying OLF Joe Williams Air Field (located in Kemper County, Mississippi). The exact locations of specified work will be indicated by the Contracting Officer. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code for this work is 238160, Roofing Contractors. The associated Small Business size standard is $12.0 Million. This is not a request for proposals and no solicitation is available at this time. The Government will not pay for information requested nor will it compensate any respondent for any cost incurred in developing information provided to the Government. If adequate interest is not received from qualified HUBZONE concerns by the date specified above, the solicitation will be issued on an unrestricted basis. The range is between $250,000.00 and $500,000.00 in the base year, but interested concerns should be aware that the guaranteed minimum will be a specific small building listed in the solicitation and not the full amount bid for all line items.
