Description
FISC Norfolk Naval Shipyard Annex announces its intent to issue a Firm Fixed-Price contract utilizing simplified acquisition procedures in accordance with FAR Part 13.5 Test Program for Certain Commercial Items for the lease of one(1) each Scanning Electron Microscope with options to increase the lease quantity by an unit amount ranging from one (1) each to three (3) each. A contract consisting of a base year and three (3) one-year option periods is anticipated. The equipment will be installed and maintained at the Norfolk Naval Shipyard, Portsmouth, VA. Option installation sites: Portsmouth Naval Shipyard, Portsmouth, NH; Pearl Harbor Naval Shipyard, Honolulu, HI; Puget Sound Naval Shipyard, Bremerton, WA. Option quantities and periods of performance will be evaluated with the base year and quantity. General Specifications: Microscope shall be used in failure analysis, particle analysis, material characterization and process characterization procedures. Unit shall have the ability to see and identify by chemical analysis such as intergranular fractures, fatigue striations, cleavage cracks, and oxidation or corrosion products and shall be capable of determining the rate of progression of fatigue cracking. Complete specifications will be provided upon issuance of the solicitation. Unit shall be priced for delivery FOB destination to Norfolk Naval Shipyard, Portsmouth, VA 23709-5000. A response date for submission of offers will be established in the written solicitation. NAICS Code 334516 applies with a size standard of 500 employees. Important Notice: DRAR 252.204-7004 Required Central Contractor Registration Alternate A (Nov 2003) applies. Lack of registration in the CCR database will make an offeror ineligible for award.
