- Description
- Provide materials and services necessary to Replace Steuben Hall Roof, Building 207 and Remove Air Conditioning Units/Miscellaneous Items, Building 208 Roof, U. S. Coast Guard Training Center Yorktown, Virginia. The work includes, but is not limited to, demolition/removal of existing multi-ply built up roof with gravel surface, flashings, pitch pockets, power roof ventilators, air intakes, roof top air cooled chiller units, piping and insulation, metal screen fence and steel pipe support posts and related electrical conduit and wiring, all at Steuben Hall, Building 207. The work includes, but is not limited to, demolition/removal of flashings, pitch pockets, roof top air cooled chiller units, piping and insulation, metal screen fence and steel pipe support posts and related electrical conduit and wiring, all at Lincoln Hall, Building 208; and incidental related work. Pitch pocket filler material and flashings/mastic contain asbestos at Steuben Hall and Lincoln Hall and shall be removed in accordance with specification section 13281, “Engineering Control of Asbestos Containing Materials.” Steel pipe support posts and steel angle braces at the metal screen fence and miscellaneous steel painted items at Steuben Hall and Lincoln Hall are coated with paint containing lead and shall be handled in accordance with specification section 13282, “Lead in Construction.” The work includes installation of a new 4-ply cold applied built up roof system, tapered insulation system, flashings, roof curbs, roof adapters at Steuben Hall and the repair/patching of the existing 4-ply built up roofing at Lincoln Hall. All work shall be accomplished in accordance with Specification No. 01012 and Drawing No. 01012 (Sheets 1 – 7). Work includes a base bid item. All work shall be completed within 180 calendar days after Award. THIS PROCUREMENT IS 100% SET-ASIDE FOR THE HISTORICALLY UNDERUTILIZED BUSINESS ZONE (HUBZONE) SMALL BUSINESS CONCERNS. (Status as a qualified HUBZone small business concern is determined by the Small Business Administration (SBA) and SBA will issue a certification to that affect in accordance with 13 CFR part 126) Offers that are not from qualified HUBZone small business concerns shall not be considered and shall be rejected.
