- Description
- The United States Mint facility located at Ft. Knox, KY, has a requirement to remove an existing barrel type vehicle barrier installed in the roadbed of a driveway off Bullion Blvd. And to replace that barrier with a wedge type, hydraulically operated barrier that can be operated remotely. The barrier must be certified as capable of stopping a 15,000 pound vehicle traveling at a speed of 50 miles per hour. All contractors wishing to compete for the contract award and believing capable of providing a barrier meeting the above description are invited to participate in the anticipated competition for the contract award. To qualify, you must submit the following information to the Contracting Officer, Richard S. Kahn, on or before 2:00 P.M. (EST) on June 25, 2004: 1. Full name of the company, its complete address and telephone number; 2. Proper name of the company?s single point of contact, telephone number, fax number, and email address; 3. documentation demonstrating your ability to meet the above requirements.
