Description

Construct two earthen embankments with water level control structures, three ditch fills, two shallow wildlife pools, one waterway; search for and break drain tile; install non-perforated drainage tile, habitat features, and seed disturbed areas as specified on plans and specifications for the purpose of restoring wetland conditions and enhancing habitat of a Wetland Restoration Program site in Rock County, Wisconsin. The work will involve approximately 2760 CY stripping, 25,700 CY earthfill, 9125 FT tile searching and disabling, 2,400 CY excavation, 10 hrs land shaping, installing 2 water level control structures, 370 LNFT of 8” plastic pipe, 60 LNFT of 6” plastic pipe and 12 acres seeding. Cost range is $25,000 to $100,000. Performance time, including mobilization and 3 days for inclement weather is 21 calendar days assuming 10 hr work days, 5 day work weeks, and 5 pieces of heavy equipment. Earthwork shall be completed by July 16th, 2004. Interested parties are invited to attend a site showing on Thursday, May 13, 2004. The site showing will begin at 10AM in the NRCS conference room, located in the Janesville Service Center at 440 North Hwy 14, Janesville. For directions call that location at 608-754-6617. After a brief meeting concerning the bidding process and contract requirements, the group will leave for a tour of the work site.
