Description

Contractor shall provide all labor, materials, equipment, tools, and supervision necessary to perform grounds maintenance for 6 cemeteries covering the period July 24, 2004 (or date of contract award) through Sep 30, 2004 with up to one (1) option year to extend the contract through September 30, 2005. Work is to be performed at six National Cemeteries: City Point National Cemetery, Hopewell, VA., Richmond National Cemetery, Richmond, VA., Ft. Harrison National Cemetery, Richmond, VA., Seven Pines National Cemetery, Sandston, VA., Cold Harbor National Cemetery, N. Mechanicsville, VA, and Glendale National Cemetery, Richmond, VA. The work consists of interment operations, grounds maintenance operations, to include mowing, trimming, curb edging, fertilization, aeration, thatching, liming, over seeding, leaf and twig removal, gravesite maintenance, trash and debris removal; preparation and set-up for ceremonial activities (Memorial Day and Veterans Day); grave marker and headstone operations (receiving, setting, raising, realigning and cleaning). This acquisition is 100 percent set-aside for small business concerns. North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) 561730 and a size standard of $6.0 are applicable to this acquisition. All responsible small business concerns may submit a quote. All quotes shall be evaluated on price, and past performance. Requests for hard copies of the solicitation must be in writing to Mrs. Janice E. Corlew and accompanied by a check or money order in the amount of Five Dollars ($25.00) (non-refundable) made payable to ?U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs.? No telephone requests will be accepted. Hard Copy solicitations will be mailed on or about June 28, 2004. Electronic solicitations may be obtained FREE OF CHARGE on or about June 28, 2004 at the following URL: http://www.bos.oamm.va.gov/solicitation?number=786-59-04. Any amendments to the solicitation will also be available at the URL address. Quoters are advised they are responsible for obtaining amendments. CBD Numbered Note No. 1 is applicable.
