- THIS AMENDMENT EXTENDS THE BID OPENING DATE TO JULY 6, 2004 AT 2:00 PM (CST) AND UPDATES THE WAGE DETERMINATION DUE TO A MODIFICATION BEING ADDED. United States Department of Agriculture, Agricultural Research Service, Midwest Area has a project entitled Demolition of Four Buildings. The project is located at USDA, ARS, MWA, North Appalachian Experimental Watershed (NAEW), Coshocton, OH. The work includes, but is not limited to furnishing all labor, supervision, materials, tools, equipment, transportation, and other necessary work to perform and complete the demolition of four buildings including 1) asbestos remediation; 2) demolition of the structures, foundations and appurtenances; 3) utility disconnect and removal; 4) proper recycling and disposal of demolished materials; and 5) restoration of the distrubed areas of the site upon completion of demolition and removal work. The period of performance is 135 days. All work shall be performed in strict accordance with the Specifications and Drawings. Bonding will be required. Estimated price range is: Between $25,000 and $100,000. This acquisition will be procured as a full and open competition under the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program. The NAICS code is 238910 and the annual size standard is 12.0 million. This is an Invitation for Bid (IFB). The solicitation packages may be requested, free of charge, by mail, fax, or e-mail to: sharrell@barr.com, Fax: (734) 327-1212, or Barr Engineering, Inc., 450 S. Wagner Road, Ann Arbor, MI 48103. Susan Harrell, Barr Engineering, is the contact for this solicitation. All requests for a solicitation package must reference IFB No. 5114-4-0600 and the contact name above. No telephone requests for the solicitation package will be accepted. All responsible and qualified sources may submit a bid that will be considered by the agency. A pre-bid site visit will be scheduled and information provided in the solicitation package. This will be the only opportunity to visit the job site prior to submission of bid. The anticipated IFB solicitation package will be available on or about May 13, 2004, with opening date on or about 30 days later.
