Description

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) intends to award, on a sole source basis, a purchase order to Ciphergen Biosystems, Inc. located in Fremont, CA. The purchase order is to procure the following items: 1) C573-0065 H50 Protein Chip Array A-H; 2) C573-0078 IMAC30 Protein Chip A-H; 3) C573-0075 CM10 Protein Chip Array A-H; 4) K200-0001 EDM Kit-H50 Buffer; 5) K200-002 EDM Kit-IMAC Buffer Set; 6) K200-0004 EDM kit-CM10 High Stringency Bu; 7) K200-0003 EDM Kit-CM10 Low Stringency Bu; 8) C573-0043 NP20 Protein Chip Array A-H; 9) C100-0007 All in 1 Protein Standard II; 10) K100-0008 Expression Difference Mapping, Expression Difference Mapping Kit-Serum; 11) K100-0008 Replacement Buffers; 12) C503-0011 Cassette Compatible Bioprocess, Cassette Compatible Bioprocessor (Blue); 13) C503-0012 86 Well Bioprocessor Reservoir, 86 Well Bioprocessor Reservoir (Blue). The authority for this sole source procurement is FAR Part 6.302-1 in that Ciphergen Biosystems is the only known source for these items. This is not a request for competitive proposals and no solicitation is available. Firms that believe they can provide the required services are encouraged to identify themselves and give written notification to the Contracting Officer within 15 days from the publication date of this synopsis. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed action based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
