- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. The VA South Texas Health Care System intends to award a contract for one (1) ThinPrep 2000 processor BRAND NAME OR EQUAL multi-mix racked vortexor, supplies for 100 non-GYN tests, and training for one pathologist & one cytotechnologist. The ThinPrep 2000 is an automated slide preparation unit used for ThinPrep Pap Test for cervical cancer screening. This Processor can also be used for non-gynecological specimens with software modifications. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation. Request For Quote (RFQ) 671-66Q-04 is being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. All quotes must address the requirements in this announcements. Solicitation documents and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect thought Federal Acquisition Circular 2001-23. This Procurement is unrestricted. The NAICS is 339112. The business size standard 500 employees. This will be a firm-fixed price contract. FOB is destination. Payment will be made on receipt and acceptance of the equipment.
