- This requirement was originally for the Richmond Military Entrance Processing Station (MEPS); however, it is now changed to read Fort Lee MEPS. Requirements type contract for meals, lodging and transportation for applicants processing through the Fo rt Lee Military Entrance Processing Station (MEPS) during the base period of 15 Sep 2004, or effective date of the Richmond MEPS move to Fort Lee VA, through 30 Sep 2005 with four option periods. Services are for a supper meal, overnight lodging, breakfast the next morning and transportation to the MEPS. It is estimated that there will be 14,410 applicants processing yearly. The number of applicants daily will possibly reach 100 maximum, but average 75 applicants daily. This contract will be awarded on a Be st Value basis using the tradeoff source selection process. The appropriate NAICS code is 721110 with a size standard of $6M. All responsible sources may submit a proposal, which will be considered. The solicitation will be posted on the Fort Knox hompage website at: http://www.knox.army.mil/garrison/doc/contracting_opportunities.htm on or about 7 July 2004. No paper copies of the solicitation will be issued. All amendments to the solicitation will be likewise posted to this website. Contractors are cautio ned to check this website for amendments. No solicitation mailing list will be compiled. Contractor is responsible for all costs of producing and mailing their proposal. Proposal must be written and submitted in original plus four copies and mailed to Dire ctorate of Contracting, Bldg 1109B, Rm 250, Fort Knox, KY 40121-5000. Please mark outside of package with solicitation number and opening date as stated in the solicitation in Block 8. Proposal will not be accepted by email or facsimile.
