Description

NA A firm-fixed price contract is anticipated for: M550 Escapement Assemblies, 40mm, NSN: 1390-01-245-8888, P/N 8886357, Approximate Quantity 2,635,475 each. Delivery minimum 200,000 beginning February 2004, ramping up to approximately 300,000 each per mon th until the contract quantity is produced. Destination is one of two points in Florida. A lowest price technically acceptable evaluation process will be done on each offeror's proposal. The Government reserves the right to award either one contract for the total quantity of M550 Escapements or a 60%/40% split award between two offerors for purposes of both maintaining the industrial base and meeting the necessary delivery schedule. If a split award is used the percentage given to each offeror will be ba sed on lowest unit price, with the lowest priced offeror receiving the larger percentage of the contract award. The solicitation is restricted as a Small Business Set Aside. A 100% evaluated option clause will be included in the solicitation. The approx imate issue date of the solicitation is 22 October 2003 with an approximate response date of 22 December 2003.
