Description

Phase 1 The Peru Bottoms project consist of construction of low level dikes and excavation. Dike const ruction includes approximately 44,050 cu yds. Of material, the installation of 10 inline water control structures. Existing culverts (7) will be removed from the site. All excavated material shall be approved prior to removal due to the nature of the sites and the soil conditions within the area, in accordance with the plans and specifications. The Riverland Farms and Stuckenholtz sites will consist of excavation and seeding. Approximate excavation yardage including stripping of 28,100 cu yds. Excavation material shall be placed within spoil areas as designated areas in accordance with the plans and specifications. Phase 2 The Wetlands seeding of the area includes 518 acres to a mixture of 14 different grasses and wildflower seeds. Area will be disked to prepare the area, and a low-till/grassland drill will be used to seed the area . Seeding shall not be started on the conservation part until after November 1st 2004. Upon completion of the seeding the contractor shall return all forms to the Local field office for certification of the seeding projects.
