Description

The VA Ann Arbor Healthcare System has a requirement for the Renovation of 5 North Patient Ward, project number 506-341. The Contractor shall renovate 8,000 sq. ft. of space on the 5th floor, north wing of Building 1 West into a 20-bed medical surgical patient ward. Additionally, there is a limited amount of work on the 7th floor of Building 1 West and the 5th floor of Building 1 East. Work includes, but is not limited to, demolition of existing walls and ceilings, asbestos abatement, installation of new walls, ceilings, doors, frames, interior finishes, electrical and mechanical and certain other items. The North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code is 236220 Commercial Institutional Building Construction. The small business size is $28.5 million average annual receipts for 3 preceding fiscal years. This acquisition is unrestricted and open to both large and small business concerns. All responsible sources may submit a bid which will be considered by the agency. The construction range is between $1,000,000 - $5,000,000. The solicitation package will be available on or about July 13, 2004. The proposed bid opening is September 9, 2004. A pre-bid conference will be scheduled (date and time will be listed in the solicitation package).
